I think the idea of Pitch's black sand came from Robots, a previous film also by William Joyce. I often see the black sand in the magnet scene and the black domino scene (love that part). Oh, imagine surfing that stuff while nightmare horses pop up.
Great picture. I'm actually wondering why these two weren't the main opposing forces in the movie. Sandy controls dreams and Pitch lords over nightmares. Yet the movie think having Pitch ultimately square off against Jack is more appropriate.
Every time you post somethng it is a great problem for me because I don't know HOW to write a comment on such a picture. Because every masterpiece you draw make me stupid tongue-tied fan, the one who can't think of anything, but: "Oh, dear. This is awesome, how did you do it?!" and "Aaaah can't take my eyes from it!!" In the end I remain without my eyes, they're stayed on your art
Also, never seen that thing coming. Now looking forward for it, thanks to you)
this is so gorgeous the detailing on the sand is really great and the pose of each character is nice these two in your style are fantastic JUST LOOK AT THAT AMAZING SANDMAN he's so adorable even when in battle and then Pitch looks so menacing and eerie <3
